what we want ~ what we stand for

I started the group to meet some likeminded people, I had no idea it would be so popular!

We don’t want to be a Group full of rules but to ensure we retain the soul of the group and to avoid dilution, we thought it worth letting you know what we are looking for in a member.

There is a ‘core’ group of about 10 of us who have been here from the start, some of us are in regular contact via Twitter and are now friends outside of the Group. This core group have been the mainstay and the reason why we have gone as far as we have.

It would be nice for everyone who wants to be a member of the BoAPG to actively contribute to the group; e.g to give a presentation at a meeting, help out at the Arts Festival or event etc. We would like to encourage people to join us who are active, enthusiastic and willing to participate. This then seems fair if you do want to contribute to any exhibitions or events.

The group actively encourages people to step outside of their comfort zone. It’s good for you!

If you don’t come to 3 meetings in succession, you will be removed from the email list. If you decide it’s not for you and you do receive emails from me, please let me know and I’ll remove you from the list.

As the place where we hold our meetings isn’t Village Hall sized, we ask that only people living in the immediate locale join us. Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate people who live in a different county.

This seems unfair to us local types. Freshford, and Limpley Stoke are acceptable.

Whilst we don’t want to go down the ‘membership fee’ route yet, if numbers begin to increase, it may be an option for the future.

We ask that you have a passion for photography; you don’t have to know all of the technicals, or even have the best camera.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask Nik,
